approximately 15 cm (6 in) shor-
ter than the other cable.
4. Attach the cables to the pivo-
ting roller brackets on the cars.
Slip the cable end through the
small hole in the end of the
bracket, and tie a small knot in the
cable to secure it. Repeat with
each cable end.
Hint: The rollers on the brackets
should face up.
5. Loop the shorter cable over
the mountain station pulleys.
6. Loop the longer cable over
the valley station pulley. Make
sure the cable is routed through
the slotted cable guides.
7. Adjust the cables so they are
taut.
8. Connect the valley station to
the included transformer (d,
Fig. 4). Plug the transformer into
a house current outlet.
Attention! This transformer is for
indoor use only.
Controls
There are three controls on the
valley station (Fig. 4):
a. Reversing time control. Use
this to control how often the
cableway changes direction. The
control can be set approximately
from 5 seconds (factory preset) to
90 seconds. Turn the control
clockwise to increase the time.
b. Travel time control. Use this
to control how long the cars travel
before stopping. The control can
be set approximately from 3
seconds (factory preset) to 50
seconds. Turn the control clockwi-
se to increase the time.
Hint: For realistic loading and
unloading stops, set the reversing
time longer than the travel time.
The specific settings will vary
depending on the length of the
cables and the desired stopping
time.
c. Speed control. The control
can be set from STOP to maxi-
mum (factory preset). Turn the
control clockwise to increase the
speed.
Hints
- If you decrease the speed,
increase the travel time to make
sure the cars reach the stations.
If you increase the speed,
decrease the travel time to make
sure the cars stop before hitting
the stations.
- If the cars hit the valley station
but not the mountain station,
shorten the upper cable.
- Do not turn the valley station
pulley by hand.
- Instruction for assembling the
paperboard loading building are
included with the building.
- Both the transformer and the
valley station are equipped with
overload protection circuitry.
