1 Operating Elements and Connections

1 POWER switch
2 Volume control MIC for the microphone at the input
MIC IN [(17) or (19)]
3 Button TX (with LED ON) to switch the microphone
signal at the volume adjusted with the control
MIC (2) to the transmitting part and the output LINE
OUT (15)
4 Volume control AUX for the unit at the input LINE IN
(16)
5 Button TX (with LED ON) to switch the signal of the
unit at the input LINE IN (16) at the volume ad -
justed with the control AUX (4) to the transmitting
part and the output LINE OUT (15)
6 Display: will indicate the channel adjusted during
operation
7 Transmission LED TX: will light up when the trans-
mitting part is switched on
8 Level LEDs for the input signal at the transmitting
part: yellow = minimum level, red = maximum level
→ also see chapter 6, point 6
9 Button SET to call the adjusting mode for the chan-
nel and to confirm the channel selection
10 Arrow buttons
– to select the channel in the adjusting mode (
up ward selection of channel,
selection of channel)
– to shortly switch over the display (6) to indicate
the radio frequency: keep one of the buttons
pressed
11 On-off switch and volume control for the transmit-
ting part
12 Volume control for headphones connected to the
jack

13 Headphone connection (6.3 mm jack) to monitor
the input signals of the jacks LINE IN (16)
14 TNC jack to connect the antenna
15 Mono output LINE OUT with line signal level
(phono jacks) to connect, for example, a sound
recorder or amplifier; at this output, the signal of the
audio source selected with the corresponding
button TX [(3) or (5)] is available
16 Stereo input LINE IN (phono jacks) to connect a
stereo audio source with line output level, e. g. CD
player, cassette recorder
17 Balanced microphone input (XLR jack)
18 On-off switch of the +5 V T-power for the unbal -
anced microphone input (19)
OFF: T-power deactivated
when a dynamic microphone is connected
ON: T-power activated

19 Unbalanced microphone input (6.3 mm jack)
20 Jack POWER OUT for power supply of a second
TXA-800ST transmitter: connect the jack to the
jack POWER IN of the second transmitter
21 Jack POWER IN for power supply of the transmit-
ter: connect the power supply unit to the jack and to
a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz)

2 Safety Notes

The units (transmitter and plug-in power supply unit)
correspond to all required directives of the EU and are
therefore marked with
WARNING
Please observe the following items in any case:

The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).

Do not operate the transmitter and immediately dis-
connect the power supply unit from the mains socket
1. if one of the units is visibly damaged,

2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
= downward
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
water or chemicals.

No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the units are used for other pur-
poses than originally intended, if they are not cor-
rectly connected or operated, or not repaired in an
expert way.

The power supply unit uses dangerous
mains voltage (230 V~). Leave servicing
to skilled personnel only. Inexpert hand-
ling may result in electric shock.
If the units are to be put out of operation de-
finitively, take them to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the en -
vironment.
