Function and features
The plug is used in conjunction with G1 adapters for:
1. Protection during welding: protection against warp or damage to
the thread by weld slag or similar.
2. Closure following removal of the sensor.
1. Protection during welding
• Remove the sealing O-ring (A)
(to avoid head damage during
welding).
• Screw the plug into the
adapter. Avoid mechanical
influence on the sealing cham-
fers.
• Tighten the plug until you can
feel the end stop.

2. Closure following removal of the sensor.
• Grease the thread and sealing
area of plug and adapter with
greasing paste..
• The sealing O-ring (A) must be
correctly positioned to ensure
optimum sealing.

• Screw the plug into the
adapter. Avoid damage to the
sealing areas.
• Tighten the plug. Tightening
torque: 20 Nm.
