Before you start

We recommend to fully charge the battery before first usage.
COMPACT MAX can be charged either by connecting the USB
cable to the wall-mounted adapter or to a USB port on your PC.
To conveniently interface the scanner to your computer, to check for
newer versions of the firmware or to modify the default settings, we
recommend using S-ID companion sw, freely downloadable from
www.datamars.com
