Safety Instructions

Intended use

❐ The device is designed for grilling and baking food.
❐ The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote
control system.
❐ This device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
❐ The device must only be used as described in the operating instructions. Any other use
is deemed to be improper. Incorrect operation and improper handling can lead to device
malfunctions and user injuries.
❐ This device should not be used by people (including children) with impaired sensory or
mental faculties or who do not have adequate experience and/or knowledge of such de-
vices, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety, or have received
instructions from such a person on how to use the device. Children must be supervised in
order to ensure that they do not play with the device.
Health-Specifi c Safety Instructions
❐ There may still be some production residues on the device. In order to avoid health haz-
ards, clean the inside of the housing, the rack, baking tray and the rotating spit thoroughly
before you fi rst use them (see the "Cleaning" section) and heat the device up for 15 min-
utes without any food in it.
❐ Clean the device after every use and keep it clean.
❐ Only prepare food that is suitable for baking, grilling and eating.

Correct Set-up and Connection

❐ Please keep the packaging and the device out of the reach of children and pets. There is a
danger of injury and suffocation!
❐ The device should only be used in closed rooms.
❐ Always set up the device with clearance of approximately 10 cm on all sides and 30 cm
clearance from the top on a dry, fl at, solid and heat-resistant surface.
❐ Maintain suffi cient clearance from other sources of heat such as hotplates or stoves in
order to avoid damage to the device.
❐ In order to prevent electric shocks, place the device in a location in which the device itself,
the mains cable and the plug cannot come into contact with water or other liquids. Should
the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately.
❐ The device should never be set up or used in the vicinity of easily fl ammable materials
(curtains, textiles etc.).
❐ Never operate the device on a stovetop or close to a gas source.
❐ The device should only be connected to a properly installed socket with earthing contacts.
The socket must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains voltage must be the
