Before using for the first time

5.3 Gauges
The charge gauge (fig. 2 3, page 2) indicates that battery is charging.
6 Before using for the first time
Before using the vacuum cleaner, prepare it as follows:
Charge battery (see fig. 3, page 3)
NOTE
I
The vacuum cleaner is delivered with only a slightly charged bat-
tery. You must charge the battery before you can use the vacuum
cleaner.
➤ Charge battery (see "Charging the battery" on page 25).
NOTICE!
A
Do not allow the battery to run down completely. The engine runs
more slowly when the battery is flat.
Recharge battery as soon as possible each time after use.
Fitting vacuum hose (see fig. 4, page 3)
➤ Fit vacuum hose using connecting piece (fig. 4 1, page 3) to the connec-
tion on casing (fig. 4 2, page 3).
The hose should snap into place.
➤ Fit carpet nozzle or crevice tool to other end of hose.
Twist nozzle slightly so that it fits on hose tightly.
Checking filter (see fig. 5, page 3)
NOTICE!
A
Never use the vacuum cleaner without a filter.
Only use the filters supplied with the product by the manufacturer.
➤ Check that filter (fig. 5 1, page 3) is inside bracket (fig. 5 2, page 3).
Fit carrying strap (see fig. 6, page 3)
➤ Fit carrying strap (fig. 1 6, page 2) placing both ends (fig. 6 1, page 3)
through holes (fig. 6 3, page 3) provided on both sides of casing.
