Technical datasheet of KAPIX B22/V22

1. Application field
KAPIX B22 is a range of LED illuminated capacitive pushbutton.
The size M22 was designed to easily replace the mechanical and
piezzo touchbuttons. KAPIX is a "no-force" technology without
mechanical moving parts which offers a comfort in the case of
continuous actions. The products is vandal-resistant and can be
applied in the food industry. The switching capacity is 400mA/60V
(NO or NO+NC).
Lighting mode 1:
OFF=green or blue still.
ON=red or yellow blinking.
Lighting mode 2:
OFF=red or yellow still.
ON=green or blue blinking.
Lighting mode 3: OFF=green or blue sparkling to high frequence
for a perfect viewing even in full sun exposition.
ON=red or yellow blinking.
V22 is a range of pilot lamps with PNP inputs: the + on the A or B
input will vary the color to display (see 6.Wiring diagram).
2. Mounting instructions on 0,8 to 10mm panel
B22/V22 : Drill the panel to 22,5mm.
Put the gasket under the flange, fix the button into the hole, and
grip the nut.
3. B22 (pushbutton) operation mode
The B22xx can be energized from 12 to 30VDC and offers 1 or 2
contacts depnd. the version. The V22xx Pilot lamp can be energi-
zed from 5 to 30VDC. The + on the A or B input will vary the color
to display (see 6.Wiring diagram).
a) Momentary (M)
touch=on, not touched=off
b) Flip-flop (T)
touch=on, not touched=on, touch=off, not touched=off
c) Delayed (D1 or D2)
Delayed stop after touching=90s (D1) and delayed start after
staying touched=350ms (D2) (other values on request).
d) External control "OL" version
The red/green or yellow/blue light is controlled externally trough
a PNP input (+24Vdc), after you have touched it.

The GRILAMID TR 90 is very hard on the surface and is less subject to scratches than the standard polyamide
+ NO

compounds.
The TS V0 is a bit less resistant to the scrtaches.

In the cosmetic sector, the parts are varnished. It is a question of hardening the surface of the parts by the appli-

cation of a more or less rigid varnish so as to reduce the impact of the objects.
Also, the visors of helmets motor bike are injected out of PC and undergo then a varnishing to increase their

resistance to the scratches.
In a general way, the polyamides, with their strong elongation at fracture, will be with difficulty tranchables with
a blade but they will be striped anyway.

Contrary to a screw connector, our choice was made on an anti-vibration model, thanks to special powerful
