Operation
Important: To ensure Slides Forever produces clear, bright scans, we recommend periodically
cleaning the glass surface inside. To do this, insert a clean, dry, non-alcohol cotton swab into
the slot and gently wipe the surface to remove dust and debris. Also, make sure all slides,
negatives, feeders, and holders are clean before inserting them into the slot.
Preparing & Loading Your Slides & Negatives
Slide Feeder
1. With the lever all the way to the right, stack your slides in the slide feeder.
• If your slides are less than 1.9 mm thick, set the switch to the
1.1-1.8 position.
• If your slides are more than 1.9 mm thick, set the switch to the
1.9-3.0 position.
Note: If you do not know the thickness of your slides, leave this switch
alone. However, if your slides get stuck in the slide feeder, remove the
slide feeder, set the switch to the opposite setting, and try again.
2. Insert the slide feeder into the slot.
3. Push the lever towards the left, then pull the lever back to the right
again to load a slide from the slide feeder into Slides Forever. Repeat
this step for subsequent slides (which will push the used slides out the
other side).
Negative Feeder
1. Lay the negative feeder flat.
2. Insert one end of the negative roll in the slot on the right-hand side of
the negative feeder.
Tip: To avoid laying a negative in the wrong direction (which will produce
a mirror image), be sure you can correctly read the serial numbers at the
top of the negative when placing it in the holder.
3. Insert the negative feeder into the slot.
4. Gently push/pull the negative roll through the negative feeder to move
from picture to picture.
Slide Holder
1. Open the slide holder by lifting the tab on the bottom.
2. Insert the slide(s) into the slide slot(s).
3. Close the slide holder. Be sure its latch and sides are securely in place.
4. Insert the slide holder into the slot.
5. Gently push/pull the slide holder through the slot to move from slide to slide.
