PR510 / PR610 RICE COOKER

USING THE RICE COOKER

Cooking Rice
You can cook any kind of rice in the Automatic Rice Cooker.
1.
Measure the amount of rice required.
A Measuring Cup (160 ml or ²/
measure makes approximately 2 1⁄4 cups of cooked rice.
Note: Make sure that the measure is level.
The Rice Cooker PR610 takes 10 level measures of dry rice.
The Rice Cooker PR510 takes 5level measures of dry rice.

For best results.
Pour the desired amount of rice into a separate container. Wash and rinse the rice
until the water is clear.
3.
Take the Inner Pot out of the Rice Cooker.
Put the washed rice into the Inner Pot and add the appropriate amount of water.
(If you are making 10 measuring cups of dry rice, add water to mark 10 mark
inside the Inner Pot.)
4.
Replace the Inner Pot in the Automatic Rice Cooker.
Turn it slightly to make sure that it is flush on the Heating element.
Note: Always wipe down the outer surface of the Inner Pot. If the outside of the
Inner Pot is wet when placed in the cooker it could cause a cracking noise as the
unit heats up. Keep the outer surface dry to prevent damage to the inner parts
of the appliance.
5.
Fit the Glass Lid on to of the Rice Cooker.
CAUTION: Never operate the Automatic Rice Cooker without closing the Lid.
Steam is generated during use.
6.
Plug the Automatic Rice Cooker into a 220V–240V AC socket.
Press the ON/OFF switch down - "COOK" appears on the display. The cooking
process begins as soon as the light comes on.
7.
When the rice is cooked, the WARM light will light up. For best results, let the
cooked rice sit for 15 minutes before stirring or removing. This allows the steam
to finish the cooking process.
8.
Stir the rice.
After rice has steamed for 15 minutes, open the Lid carefully to let the steam
escape. Use the spatula provided or any other non-metal utensil with a long
handle to scoop and stir the rice.
9.
Keep Warm.
When the cooking is completed the Automatic Rice Cooker will automatically go
into WARM mode and the WARM light will come on.
Note: Do not keep rice warm for more than 12 hours. You should consume the
rice within a twelve hour period. If the WARM function is not required, simply
unplug the Automatic Rice Cooker from the mains. Do not touch the Base Unit or
Inner Pot until they have cooled completely.
10. Allow the Automatic Rice Cooker to cool completely before cleaning.
11. Keep the Automatic Rice Cooker unplugged when it is not in use.
