2.1 General
• If this is your first time using the product, it is important to read the manual and
instructions carefully.
• If the product is malfunctioning, dropped or damaged, do not use the product
and consult our customer service.
• Before each use, check the parts and accessories for any damage or wear (cracks/
breakage) that may adversely affect performance and, if so, replace them with
original or manufacturer-recommended parts and accessories.
• Do not use accessories not offered by the supplier. They may pose a danger to
the user and damage the product.
• Use the product only for the purposes indicated in this manual.
• Do not disassemble, repair or restore the product. Doing so may cause damage
to the product. For your own safety, these parts should only be replaced by
authorized service personnel. Always send the product to a service center for
repairs to prevent damage and personal injury.
• Be aware of the risks and consequences associated with improper use of the
product. Misuse of the product may result in personal injury and damage to the
product.
• Before first use, remove all packaging material and any stickers.
• The outside of the product may become hot when the product is in use. So be
alert when touching the outside!
• Do not place metal objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids on the product,
these can become hot. So be alert when touching these objects.
• Due to residual heat, the heating element remains hot after use. Do not touch the
hot surface. This may result in personal injury.
• Do not store explosive substances such as aerosols containing flammable
propellant near or in the product.
• The product is intended for domestic use only, and not: in staff kitchens, in stores,
in offices and other work environments, by customers in hotels, motels and other
residential environments, in bed & breakfast environments, on farms etc.
• Place the product at least 1.5 meters away from surrounding surfaces, especially
combustible materials, such as textiles, bedding, curtains, plastic, electrical power
carriers, wood, etc.
• Do not move the product if it is on or has not yet cooled down.
• Never completely cover the product with aluminum foil, plates or other objects.
The accumulated heat may damage the product.
• Never leave objects or utensils on the product.
• Do not place or leave magnetizable objects (e.g. credit cards, memory cards) or
electronic devices (e.g. computers, MP3 players) near the product, as they may be
affected by the electromagnetic field.
• After use, always switch off the cooking zones and the product as described in
this manual (i.e. using the touch controls). Do not rely on the detection of non-
induction cookware to turn off the cooking zones when you remove the pan.
