5. Installation Instructions

NOTE!
• Please observe the relevant requirements of the standards EN ISO 12100, EN ISO 14119
und EN ISO 14120.
CAUTION!
• The Guard Locking Device must be used as a limit stop.
• Two mounting holes for M6 screws with washers (washers included) are provided for
mounting both the Guard Locking Device and the actuator.
• It can be installed in any desired position.
• Operation of the system is only permissible with an angle of ≤ 2° between the locking
device and the actuator.
• After installation has been completed, the mounting holes can be closed off with the
included plugs. If it should become necessary, these can be removed by applying
pressure to the top end (with plug pointing down during installation), or by applying
pressure to the right-hand side of the plugs in the anchor plate at the actuator.
CAUTION!
• The actuator must be permanently mounted to the guard by means of suitable mea-
sures (use of one-way screws, bonding, drill out of screw heads, fastened with pins)
and secured against shifting.
• The plugs serve as a means of sealing the assembly openings and are also suitable to
prevent against tampering with the screw connection.
• Minimum distance between two devices: 100 mm
CAUTION!
• At ambient temperatures of ≥ 50° C, the Guard Locking Device must be installed
in a protected fashion such that inadvertent contact by persons is ruled out.
