Filtration
Before the first filtration operation, perform a backwash of the sand. (Section 5.3)
The valve must be on the filtration setting. The service life of the filter will be longer if the periods of continuous operation
do not exceed 4 hours. The need for daily filtration is determined by the volume of water in the pool in
3
the m
/h filter flow rate for a water temperature of around 21ºC and placed at 3.5 m. from the pool. Leave the motor at off
for at least 2 h. between each 4 h period of operation.
Example:
In the initial filtration treatment it is important to leave the filter off for the time indicated. It is recommended to increase
the filtration time the higher the water temperature of the pool.
Filter wasehd sand
The backwash process cleans the silica sand from inside the filter. This process should be done regularly. For this
purpose you should observe several factors which indicate the dirtiness of the sand:
• Decrease in the flow rate of feedback is detected, after checking that the pump is well primed.
• Pressure gauge indicates that there is excess pressure (needle pointing between yellow and red, or on red).
To perform filter backwash, proceed as follows in models AR720 and AR725:
• Disconnect the filter from the power outlet. Never move the selector valve when the motor is running.
• Press firmly on the upper valve control until the front rib is released from the housing and can turn on its own axis
(Fig 7).
• Turn the control gently until the front rib is aligned with the housing of the backwash operation (Fig.7).
• Connect the ø38 mm x 1.5 m hose using the 1 ½" sleeve to the valve waste outlet and point the other end of the hose
to a drain or sewer.
• Start up the filter and operate for approximately 2 min., until impurities are no longer released to the water. This can
be observed through the transparent viewing window on the side.
• Stop the filter.
• Place the valve in the rinsing position and connect the filter for a few seconds (Fig.7).
• Stop the filter, go to the required filter position and remove the hose from the waste position if required (Fig.7).
Draining the swimming pool
The filter allows you to drain the pool almost completely after the bathing season has ended. To do so, place the upper
selector valve on the waste setting (Fig.7). Before plugging in the filter, connect the
waste outlet and point the other end of the hose towards a drain or sewer. Then, depending on the skimmer model,
proceed as follows:
In model with wall skimmer for Dream Pools (Pos.1 Fig.3) and Jet Pool (Pos.2 Fig.3):
• Remove the inner basket from the skimmer and cover the suction inlet with the plug supplied for this purpose.
• Disconnect the suction hose from the skimmer inlet. Loosen the clamp that secures the hose and hold the hose so
that no water leaks and submerge immediately in the pool so that it remains primed.
• Weigh down the end of the this hose with a heavy object which cannot damage the liner so that it is forced to sink to
the bottom of the pool.
• Start up the pump and drain the pool. Remember that the filter will not fully drain the pool. When a few cm. of water
are left and the pump no longer sucks in water, shut it off.
• Once the pump to drain the pool is on, do not stop the process until it is finished, to ensure that it does not become
unprimed.
• If you are going to refill the pool with water, first remove the remaining water by hand without damaging the liner.
• If you are going to disassemble the pool, you can fold the liner with the remaining water in the centre.
• Remove the plate in the DREAM POOL model or the tubes in the JET POOL model.
• Unfold the liner in order to drain it fully.
• This operation should not be performed except to disassemble the pool.
In model with self-supporting skimmer for Magic Pools (Pos.3 Fig.3):
To empty the pool, you can use the pool drain or the cleansing unit:
• Raise the self-supporting skimmer until it is hanging outside the pool, to prevent water from entering the skimmer.
