In order to obtain the maximum possible
benefit from your new Gerni Vac dry/wet
cleaner, please read the following manual
very carefully.
Gerni Vac 05/10
Dry Cleaner
Model 05 and 10 is suitable for dry suction
only. With dry suction, the dust is collected
in the container in which a paper bag filter
can be mounted to give extra protection
from dust when emptying the container.

However, vacuum cleaning can be carried

out without a paper bag filter as the

enclosed cloth filter strains off the dust
x
sufficiently. Please remenber to clean the
cloth filter regularly so that it does not
become clogged up. If the filter does
become clogged, however, it may be
washed. After washing or if the filter gets
wet, it must be dried before being
remounted in the vacuum cleaner.
Important!
Whether a paper bag filter is used or not,
the enclosed cloth filter must always be
mounted in the machine during operation.
lf you use vacuum cleaner without the cloth
filter, the guarantee will not apply.
Gerni Vac 100/400/590/900
Dry and Wet Cleaners
Models 100, 400, 590 and 600 are suitable
for dry as well as wet suction.
Use paper bag filter in the following
models when dry cleaning: 100, 400 and
590.

filter. Empty the container of dirt before
suction. With wet suction, the cleaner is
protected against overflowing by the built-
in float valve which blocks the motor
suction port when the container is filled
with water. As soon as the machine stops

mount a water filter.
Not to be used for picking up inflammable
and explosive liquids.
Always remember to remove the plug from
the plug socket before cleaning or
maintenance.
