10. Cleaning and maintaining the appli-
ance
WARNING!
Risk of injury from electric shock due to live parts.
 Switch off the appliance and unplug the mains plug from the socket
before cleaning the appliance.
 Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
 Clean the outer surfaces of the appliance with a soft, slightly damp
cloth.
 Never use acidic, abrasive or granular, acetic-acid-, soda-, alcohol- or
solvent-based cleaning agents. These may damage the appliance
surfaces or the printing on it.
 If necessary, rinse the nozzle attachments with water and a mild
detergent.
 Clean the air inlet opening as soon as dust accumulates on the out-
er filter. Remove the protective grille from the air inlet opening by
turning it anti-clockwise. Clean the protective grille and the air inlet
opening, e.g. with a brush. After cleaning, replace the protective
grille on the appliance and turn it clockwise to tighten.
 After cleaning, allow the appliance and accessories to dry complete-
ly before reassembling and using them.
