Covered wires or electrode contain cooking
residue.
The electrode and burners are wet.
The electrode is cracked or broken and
sparks are coming out.
There are loose or disconnected cables.
There is a short circuit in the cable, there
are sparks between the igniter and the
electrode.
There is no gas flow.
The coupling nut and regulator are not fully
connected.
Gas flow obstruction.
There are cobwebs or insect nests in the
venturi.
The burner ports are clogged or blocked.
The cylinder is out of gas.
There is excess flow, the safety device may
have been activated.
The burner ports are clogged or blocked.
The new burner may have residual manu-
facturing oils.
There are cobwebs or insect nests in the
venturi.
There is food residue, grease or seasoning
salt on the burner.
Poor alignment of the valve with the injec-
tor venturi.
There are strong or gusty winds around the
barbecue.
The gas is low in the gas cylinder.
The excess flow valve is activated.
There is grease trapped by food buildup
around the burner system.
The burner and/or burner tubes are
clogged.
The lid is made of stainless steel, not
graffiti.
SOLU TION
Clean the wires and/or electrode with alcohol.
Wipe the electrode and burners dry.
The electrode needs to be replaced.
Reconnect the cables or replace the electrode/cable assembly.
Replace the igniter wire/electrode assembly.
Check if the LP gas cylinder is empty.
If it is empty, replace or refill it.
Turn the coupling nut approximately one-half to three-quarters
of a turn further until it stops.
Hand tighten only, do not use tools.
Clean the burner tubes and check for kinked or bent hoses.
Clean the injector venturi.
Clean the burner ports.
Replace or refill the gas cylinder.
Turn the control knobs to " OFF", wait 30 seconds and light the
barbecue.
If the flames are still too low, readjust the excessive flow safety
device by turning the control knobs " OFF" and the gas cylin-
der valve to "CLOSED". Disconnect the regulator.
Turn the control knobs to the "HIGH" position, wait 1 minute.
Then turn the control knobs to off " OFF", and reconnect the
regulator and leak check connections.
Slowly turn the gas cylinder valve to the "OPEN" position, wait
30 seconds and light the barbecue following the lighting instruc-
tions.
Clean the burner ports.
Light the barbecue for 15 minutes with the lid closed.
Clean the injector venturi.
Clean the burner.
Make sure the burner venturi is properly engaged with the
injector.
Do not use the barbecue in strong winds.
Replace or refill the gas cylinder.
Relight the barbecue.
Turn the control knobs to the off position " ".
Turn the gas tank valve to "CLOSED".
Leave the lid open and let the fire burn out.
After the grill cools, remove and clean all parts.
Clean the burner and/or burner tubes.
The encrusted grease has turned into carbon and is flaking off.
Clean thoroughly.
