Do not use paper to ignite the product
(the chimney effect will carry the
paper's ashes out of the column
when the Feuersegel
gets hot).
®
Always ignite the Feuersegel
the ground and never from the top!
Always wear fireproof gloves
when adding combustible material
(e.g. BBQ gloves).
You can add the first pieces of
firewood once the kindle burns.
Please always hold the lid over the
fire column when adding material
to keep sparks to a minimum.
Always ensure that the wood drops
all the way to the bottom and that
there are no hollow spaces. Do not
add too much firewood at a time.
The Feuersegel

hot. Do not move it while it is in use!
Some types of firewood have a
high mineral content (e.g. pine
wood, grapevines, etc.). This can
lead to an increased probability of
a „snow effect". The high mineral
content causes that the wood, and
in particular the bark, does not burn
completely. As a consequence, ash
flakes are formed that are transported
upwards due to the chimney effect.
It then falls to the ground in the
surroundings, resembling snow.
This is not dangerous, but cannot
always be fully avoided. To keep
this effect to a minimum, burn
wood without bark. This will keep
the „snow effect" at a minimum.

Only use natural, unprocessed
wood. Never burn processed wood
(chipboard, lacquered wood), coal
or any other waste. Acute risk of
overheating and environmental
damage!
As soon as you are done firing the
fireplace (once you have stopped
adding pieces of wood) and there
are no more flames, close the

sleeve of the lid handle back, fold
the handle down / to the right and
let the sleeve slide back forwards to
safely bolt the handle in place.
