1999 – 2006 Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra and 2007 Classic models
1. On models with power door locks
and/or power mirrors, disconnect the
cable from the negative terminal of
the battery.
2. Use a trim tool to pry out the panel
covering the outside mirror mount (see
image A).

3. On models that have manual mirrors
and models where the mirror plug is
showing, skip to step 9.
4. On models where the plug is not
present (03-07) the door panel must
be removed, follow steps 5 thru 8.
5. On manual window models, remove
the window crank by removing the
ring in between the handle and the
door panel.
6. On power window models, pry the
power switch assembly out of the door
panel with a flat-bladed trim tool and
disconnect the electrical connectors
(see image B).

7. Use trim tool to carefully pry out
the trim around the inside door handle
(see image C)

8. Remove the mounting screws
(arrows), then pull upward and
outward at the same time to release
the door panel from the clips (see
image D)

9. Unplug the mirrors electrical
connector.
10. Remove the nuts and detach the
mirror from the door (see image E)

11. Installation is the reverse of
removal.
