Congratulations on your purchase of a Brink's 'Carousel Wall Light with Motion Detection". You have purchased a safe, dependable, and easy-to-install security lighting system. You can use this fixture at home for outdoor lighting applications.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION - THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE INSTALLATION CODES.

IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH ELECTRICAL WIRING, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU SECURE THE SERVICES OF A WELL QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN WHO CAN ASSURE THAT THIS INSTALLATION MEETS LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL CODES.
• BE SURE POWER IS TURNED OFF AT THE MAIN POWER PANEL OR FUSE BOX PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OR REPLACING FIXTURE.
• Before installing this fixture, be sure to check with local ordinances regarding approved outdoor lighting. This fixture style may not be allowed in some areas.
• This fixture is for outdoor use only.
• This fixture should be mounted to a grounded junction box marked for use in wet locations.
• The electrical system and the method of connecting the fixture to the system must be in accordance with local, state, and national electric codes.
• This fixture is to be connected to a 120 volt, 60 Hz power source. Connecting to a different power source may create a hazard and will void the warranty.
• This fixture is suitable for wet locations.
• Do not use near or around flammable/combustible material or liquids.
• When replacing the lamp (bulb), use only Candelabra base lamp (bulb) - 40 watts maximum. Never use a lamp (bulb) with a higher wattage than the stated maximum allowed on the fixture. Using a higher wattage lamp (bulb) may cause a fire hazard
and/or damage to the unit. Lamp (bulb) not included.
• The lamp (bulb) and fixture can get hot during use. Turn off the power and allow the fixture to cool down for at least 10 minutes prior to working on the unit.
• Do not attempt to open the fixture housing. There are no serviceable parts inside.
• It is recommended fixture be installed 7 feet above the ground to optimize motion detection.
• Fixture is to be mounted upright only (Integrated Motion Sensor on bottom) in order to avoid short detection results.
PRIOR TO INSTALLATION: Carefully read through the entire installation instructions before installing this security light fixture.
WARNING: BE SURE POWER IS OFF AT MAIN POWER PANEL/FUSE BOX BEFORE INSTALLING OR REPLACING FIXTURE. THIS PRODUCT MUST BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
APPLICABLE INSTALLATION CODES BY A PERSON FAMILIAR WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF THE PRODUCT AND THE HAZARDS INVOLVED.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - BE SURE POWER IS TURNED OFF AT THE MAIN POWER PANEL OR FUSE BOX PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OR REPLACING FIXTURE.
1. Remove old lighting fixture. If installing at a new location, contact a qualified electrician.
2. Insert two (2) Fixture Mounting Screws (D), as shown in Figure 1, through back of Mounting Bracket (C).
3. Pull out all wires (Black, White, and Ground – if applicable) from junction box.
4. Install Mounting Bracket (C) onto the junction box using two Mounting Bracket Screws (H). Pull the supply wires from the junction box and past the Mounting Bracket (C) in preparation for wiring.
5. If there is a ground wire, connect to green ground screw located on Mounting Bracket (C).
6. WIRING – See Figure 2 & 3
a. Connect the Black wire from the EZ-N-Stall™ Connector (F) to the Black wire of the supply circuit using Wire Connectors (B).
b. Connect the White wire from the EZ-N-Stall™ Connector (F) to the White wire of the supply circuit using Wire Connectors (B).

7. Install two (2) Candelabra base lamp bulb into socket housings. Bulb wattage NOT to exceed 40 watts each. See 'Installing or Replacing Lamp' Section.
8. Insert Lens Housing (E) up into Lantern Base (A) as shown in Figure 4. Be careful when pushing Motion Sensor (J) through hole ar bottom of Lens Housing (E).
9. Line up locking tabs of Lens Housing (E) so they sit just inside the slot openings of seating ring on Lantern
Base (A) as shown in Figure 5. Once flush, twist Lens Housing (E) clockwise until it snaps into place.
10. Plug the EZ-N-Stall ™ Connector (F) into mating connector from fixture as shown in Figure 3.
11. Insert wires into junction box.
12. Attach Lantern Base (A) to junction box by placing over two (2) Fixture Mounting Screws (D) – which you installed onto Mounting Bracket (C) earlier, then secure using two (2) Nut Caps (G). Tighten Nut Caps clockwise.
13. IMPORTANT: Apply a weatherproof silicone caulk or sealant around the fixture base to reduce chance of water leaking into the fixture body.
14. Turn ON the power.
INSTALLING OR REPLACING LAMPS
• WARNING: Turn off the power and allow the fixture to cool down for at least 10 minutes prior to working on the unit.
• Remove Lens Housing (E) by twisting counter-clockwise slighty until it becomes free from Lantern Base (A). Carefully remove - taking care when sliding Lens Housing (E) past Motion Sensor (J).
• When replacing the lamp (bulb), use only a Candelabra base lamp bulb - 40 watts maximum, in lamp (bulb) socket.
• To remove existing lamp (bulb) gently twist lamp counterclockwise until it becomes free of fixture. Install new lamp (bulb) by turning clockwise. Do not over-tighten lamp (bulb).
• Re-attach Lens Housing (E) as noted in the Installation Instructions.
MOTION SENSOR SETTINGS - Observe the two (2) controls on the bottom of Motion Sensor (J) – Figure 6.
INITIAL SET-UP
1. This unit requires a warm-up of approximately 40 seconds after power is applied for the system's circuit to stabilize.
2. Adjust the TIME adjustment knob fully counterclockwise to minimize the time the light will be activated (approximately 5 seconds). Adjust the SENS adjustment knob fully counterclockwise.
3. Have a person stand in the approximate center of target area and instruct to move slightly.
4. Slowly rotate the SENS adjustment knob clockwise until the light goes on. The SENS knob can be rotated either way to the desired sensitivity level.
5. Turn TIME adjustment knob clockwise to increase desired length of time the light will stay on after motion is detected. Maximum setting is approximately 6 minutes.
SENS (Sensitivity)
• Sets the sensitivity of the Motion Sensor – Figure 6. SENS should be set at maximum. Turning SENS adjustment knob clockwise will increase motion sensor sensitivity.
Counterclockwise will decrease sensor sensitivity. A lower setting would reduce false triggering by small animals.
TIME (Duration)
• Sets how long the light will stay on after motion is detected (between 5 seconds to 6 minutes). Turn the dial TIME adjustment knob counterclockwise to decrease the time duration.
Turn clockwise to increase time duration. Every time motion is detected, the timer will restart and turn the light off at the end of time setting. The light will remain on until the last movement is detected.
• Allow 40 second warm-up time before sensor resumes normal activity.
MANUAL OVERRIDE
• Flip the light switch (If applicable) OFF and then ON within 2 seconds. This will put the sensor into Manual Override status – which means the light will be ON and stay ON until dawn.
Turn OFF the light switch for 5 seconds and then ON again to place the sensor back to AUTOMATIC status.
FOR OPTIMAL OPERATION
• Unit should be mounted 7 feet above the ground for best operation.
• Unit should be located away from air conditioners, barbeque grills, and other sources of heat the motion sensor may detect.
• Unit works properly in temperatures ranging from -10°C to 40°C. Very hot weather can reduce sensor sensitivity, while colder weather may increase sensitivity.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Does not function at all
• Make sure wall switch (if applicable) is ON and that the wiring is correct.
• Check that the circuit breaker, fuse, and main circuit breaker or main power switch are ON.
Light cycles ON and OFF
• Re-locate fixture away from heat sources such as street, active sidewalk, barbecue grill, etc.
• Turn SENS (sensitivity) control more counter-clockwise.
Light is continuously ON
• MANUAL RESET as noted above or, if there is no wall switch, turn the circuit breaker OFF for at least 2 seconds and then turn circuit breaker back ON again.

INSTRUCTIONS POUR L'INSTALLATION
VÉRIFIER QUE L'ALIMENTATION ÉLECTRIQUE EST COUPÉE AU PANNEAU D'ENTRÉE PRINCIPAL OU AU DISJONCTEUR AVANT D'INSTALLER OU DE REMPLACER CET APPAREIL D'ÉCLAIRAGE.
1. Déposer l'ancien appareil d'éclairage. Si l'installation doit avoir lieu à un autre emplacement, s'adresser à un électricien qualifié.
2. Insérer deux (2) vis de montage de l'appareil (D), comme illustré à la Figure 1,
dans le dos du support de montage (C).
3. Tirer tous les fils (noir, blanc et mise à la terre, le cas échéant) pour les sortir de la boîte de jonction.
4. Installer le support de montage (C) sur la boîte de jonction à l'aide des deux vis de support
de montage (H). Tirer les fils d'alimentation pour les sortir de la boîte de jonction au-delà du
support de montage (C) en préparation pour le câblage.
5. S'il existe un fil de mise à la masse, le raccorder à la vis verte de mise à la masse
située sur le support de montage (C).
6. CÂBLAGE – Voir les Figures 2 & 3
a. Raccorder le fil Noir sortant de la cosse de raccordement EZ-N- Stall™ (F) au fil
Noir du circuit d'alimentation à l'aide des cosses de raccordement de fils (B).
b. Raccorder le fil Blanc sortant de la cosse de raccordement EZ-N- Stall™ (F) au
fil Blanc du circuit d'alimentation à l'aide des cosses de raccordement de fils (B).
7. Installer deux (2) ampoules Chandelles pour la base de la lampe dans les douilles
respectives. La puissance (en watts) des ampoules ne doit PAS dépasser 40 watts
chacune. Voir la section « Installation ou remplacement de l'éclairage ».
