CONSULT A QUALIFIED
Installation Instructions:
1) Disconnect power to the receptacle at the circuit
breaker panel before installing new cover.
2) If installing on an existing receptacle, remove and
discard the existing cover, plate and gasket.
3) Back out the receptacle's mounting screws about 1/2"
tests to
(see Figures 1 and 2).
4) Select the correct base plate for the desired
application (see Base Plates on the right for different
styles).
5) Place the gasket in the back of the base plate and
insert the mounting screws through the gasket and
the keyhole slots on the base plate. Make sure that
the hinge on the base plate is installed facing up on

FOR ANY either horizontal or vertical application.

6) Center the base plate on the receptacle and secure
screws, Do not over tighten screws.
7) Remove the correct
application, either vertical or horizontal (see Figures 1
and 2).
8) Position the cover (with snap hinge facing up) at a 45
degree angle and mount cover to base plate by
snapping the hinges together (see Figure 1 for
& BETTS NE vertical and Figure 2 for horizontal).
9) For rain protection the cover must be snapped shut.
10) To open the cover, bend the latch and lift the cover up
(see Figure 3).
