REPLACEMENT GUIDE BAR
This guide bar is designed to only be used with EGO 10" Pole Saw PS1000/PSX2510/
PS1000-FC/PSX2510-FC.
WARNING: Before performing any maintenance, make sure that the battery pack
is removed. Failure to heed this warning could result in serious personal injury.
WARNING: Always wear gloves when handling the guide bar and chain; these
components are sharp and may contain burrs.
Removing the worn guide bar

1. Remove the battery and allow
the saw to cool. Make sure the
oil-tank cap is snug to prevent oil
leakage.
2. Position the pole saw on its side
on a firm, flat surface, so that the
side cover is facing upwards.

3. Wear gloves. Remove the side
cover by turning the quick chain-tension adjust knob counterclockwise (Fig. 1).
Clean the side cover with a dry cloth.
4. Remove the guide bar and chain from the mounting surface. Remove the chain
from the worn guide bar.
NOTICE: This is a good time to inspect the drive sprocket for excessive wear or
damage.

1. Lay the saw chain in a loop on a
flat surface and straighten any
kinks (Fig. 2).
2. Place the chain drive links into
the guide bar groove. Position
the chain so there is a loop at the
back of the guide bar (Fig. 3).
3. Hold the chain in position on the

guide bar and place the loop
around the drive sprocket of the
pole saw.
NOTICE: A small direction arrow and a
cutter pictogram are engraved in the
tool housing (Fig. 4). When looping the
saw chain onto the guide bar, make
sure that, after mounting the guide
bar, the direction of the saw chain
will correspond to the rotation direction arrow on the tool housing and the shape of
the cutters on the top of the guide bar are consistent with that of the cutter on the
housing. If they face in opposite directions, reassemble the saw chain onto the guide
bar with the arrows facing the same direction. The guide bar should be mounted with
the adjustment plate facing away from the housing.
4. Keep the bar and chain parallel
to the mounting surface with
one hand. Attach the side cover
to the housing so that the holes/
pins and fastening bolt /thread
hole are aligned with each other
properly (Fig. 5). Press the side

cover towards the housing, then
fully tighten the quick chain-

tension adjust knob clockwise.
The eccentric gear inside the
side cover is designed to ensure
that the chain will not be over-
tensioned.
5. Rotate the chain by hand to check
whether the chain is properly
assembled without binding.
Otherwise, reassemble the chain

1. Retirez la pile et laissez la scie
refroidir. Assurez-vous que le
bouchon du réservoir d'huile est
bien fixé en place pour éviter toute
fuite d'huile.
2. Positionnez la scie à élaguer à
rallonge sur son côté sur une

surface ferme et plate, de telle
sorte que le cache latéral soit orienté vers le haut.
3. Portez des gants. Retirez le cache latéral en tournant le bouton de réglage
rapide de la tension de la chaîne dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une
montre (Fig. 1). Nettoyez le cache latéral avec un tissu sec.
4. Retirez la barre de guidage et la chaîne de la surface de montage. Retirez la
chaîne usée de la barre de guidage.

1. Posez la nouvelle chaîne de la scie
en boucle sur une surface plate
et aplanissez-la selon les besoins
(Fig. 2).
2. Placez les maillons d'entraînement
de la chaîne dans la rainure de la
barre de guidage. Positionnez la
chaîne de manière à ce qu'il y ait

une boucle à l'arrière de la barre
de guidage (Fig. 3).
3. Maintenez la chaîne en position
sur la barre de guidage et placez
la boucle autour du pignon
d'entraînement de la scie à
élaguer à rallonge.
