This park assist camera is mounted to trailers, not the tow vehicle, and thus owners may
desire multiple cameras for multiple trailers. Vehicle within application range must be
equipped with Ford's Pro Trailer Backup Assist feature for the trailer camera to function. To
confirm feature, check for knob near climate control module display that states "Pro Trailer"
or "Trailer Backup."
This kit does not include the 7/12-pin trailer connector (OE # HU5Z-14489-B) or the trailer
wiring harness that connects to the 7/12-pin connector (OE # HC3Z-14B242-F). It does
include the harness that runs between the the trailer wiring harness (OE # HC3Z-14B242-F)
and the park assist camera.
The trailer wiring harness (OE # HC3Z-14B242-F) and 7/12 pin connector (OE # HU5Z-
14489-B) can easily be used on different trailers, but many owners find it desirable to have a
duplicate camera and harness to connect to the trailer wiring harness to more rapidly switch
between multiple trailers.
