WARNING: This fixture should only be powered by Juno
mation. SL Series should be installed in damp or dry locations only. The SLW Series is IP67 rated and may be installed outdoors when used with corresponding Juno FlexConnect™ IP67 rated feeds, IP67 rated terminal block, end to end connector,
4-way connector and/or end cap. Must be used anywhere SLW Series had been field cut to maintain IP67 rating. Failure to do so will cause premature failure.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read all of these instructions before starting installation.
2. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
3. Only qualified electricians in accordance with local codes should install
these fixtures.
4. De-energize electrical circuit at circuit breaker prior to installation process.
Always ensure power is off before making any changes to installation.
5. The fixture is not user serviceable. Do not open fixture.
6. Do not bend LED strip further than a 2" diameter on SL212/SLW212/
SL412/SLW412. Do not bend LED strip further than a 4" diameter on
SLW424 models.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Step # 1 (Cutting Flexible Linear Strips)
Determine the desired strip length to be used during installation; each strip is field
cuttable every 6" with the manufacturer-specified cutting tool. Use SLCUTTER to
field cut SL Series strips. Use SLWCUTTER to field cut SLW Series strips.
Proceed to cut the desired strip length as follows:
1. Place the cutting tool on flat surface and open the cutter tool latch.
2. Place the strip on the cutting tool as shown on Figure 1. Take special care to
align the strip connector center line with the cutting tool blade.
3. Close the blade latch firmly until it comes in contact with the cutter base.
4. Open the cutter latch and gently pull the two sections apart.
5. Remove the silicone residue on top of the strip connector to ensure a secure
connection with the electrical feeds.
Step # 2 (Connecting Power Feeds)
Juno FlexConnect can accept factory-supplied 22AWG starter cable up to
12' long (SL101P 36IN or SL101P 144IN). A terminal block (SL101TB or SL-
W101TB) is also available when necessary to remote mount the power supply
greater than 12' from the start of the run. Terminal block accepts 14-22AWG.
Refer to the following chart for recommended wire gauge when using the terminal
block (SLW101TB must always be used in order to maintain IP67 rating).
Note: The first strip section of every 20-ft spool comes with pre-installed
12" power leads. Use a power starter cable or terminal block if the strip sec-
tion has been cut from the spool or if longer started cable is required.

Juno FlexConnect can be powered/linked using the following accessories:
Indoor – For use with SL Series only in damp and dry locations
A. Joiner cables include SL102FLX 2IN, SL102FLX 6IN, SL102FLX 12IN, SL102FLX 36IN & SL102FLX 72IN. Use any of these to
electrically connect two strip sections.
B. 3-Way Joiner Cable (SL102Y). Use this accessory to electrically connect three sections.
C. 4-Way Joiner Cable (SL102X). Use this accessory to electrically connect 2-4 SL Series sections. The SL102X can also be used as
a power feed by adding a starter power cable (SL101P).
Indoor/Outdoor – IP67 rated for use with SLW Series only
A. 4-Way Joiner Cable (SLW102X). Use this accessory to electrically connect four SLW Series strip sections. The SLW102X can also
be used as a power feed by adding a starter power cable (SL101P) and connect three sections.
B. End-to-end connector (SLW102EE). Use this accessory to electrically connect two sections end-to-end.
C. End cap (SLW101EC). To maintain IP67 rating, use this accessory to seal the end of an SLW Series strip that has been field cut.
D. Terminal block (SLW101TB). To maintain IP67 rating, use two of the SLW101TB with outdoor rated cable to join two
discontinuous SLW Series sections.
Securing The Strips
OPTION #1 – Use mounting clips
A. Clean the area where the strips are to be installed
B. Remove the tape liner from the bottom of the strip
C. Place the strip on the clean area and press firmly throughout the length of the strip NOTE: the adhesive tape is intended to hold the
strips only during the strip installation, mounting clips are required to prevent strips from sagging or detaching from the installed surface.
D. Install mounting clips (SLCLIP for SL Series / SLWCLIP for SLW Series) every 1 foot.
