Introduction
The THB23030 / THB2430 is an actuator that can be used
for Applications including: Underfloor Heating circuits. The
THB23030 / THB2430 has two temperature sensors that are
connected between the Auto Balancing Actuator and the flow
& return pipes or the inlet and outlet of the manifold. The Auto
Balancing Actuator will measure the sensors temperature and
adjust the actuator position to maintain the correct temperature
differential between the emitter flow and return pipes (ΔT).
iTG Dresden have confirmed that the Salus THB actuator is
equivalent to the hydraulic balancing. In co-operation with iTG
Dresden, the Salus THB actuator has been tested and improved.
It is confirmed that the installation of a Salus THB system in an
existing underfloor heating system will achieve the same results
as a conventional hydraulic balancing according to method A.

exclusively indoor. Keep your device completely dry. Disconnect
your device before cleaning it with a dry towel. This accessory
must be fitted by a competent person, and installation must
comply with the guidance, standards and regulations applicable
to the city, country or state where the product is installed. Failure
to comply with the relevant standards could lead to prosecution.
Installation

Attach the ABA to underfloor heating manifold thermostatic
valves, on the return bar. When installing the THB23030 /
THB2430 ensure it is fully tightened onto the manifold. Actuator
is in fully open position, out of the box, for easy installation.

Connect the actuator power cable to the control wiring

center or the thermostat. Please note, the THB23030
require 230V connection, and THB2430 require 24V
power supply.
Fully open the flowmeters or

shut-off valves on the supply
manifold bar.
Now actuator is ready for the calibration procedure. The
actuator requires first to be calibrated to the manifold valve to
ensure optimum performance before use, this may take up to
15 minutes.
Power on the ABA, if connected to a thermostat set the

demand temperature to maximum. The LED will flash
quickly for two minutes.
Note: It is important that the flow manifold water
temperature is not falling during this period, so ensure the flow
temperature is at maximum / higher temperature during the
calibration period (>35°C).

Once calibrated, the ABA will start balancing your system.
Re-calibration
(only necessary if replacing or refitting)
Before starting the re-calibration procedure, disconnect the actuator
from the power source. To re-calibrate, apply power to the actuator
and wait at least 20 seconds then switch off the actuator within 1
minute of the power on. Wait until the LED goes out. The actuator will
now perform the calibration at the next power on.

der für verschiedene Heizungsanwendungen eingesetzt
werden kann, z.B. Fußbodenheizung. Der THB hat zwei
Temperaturfühler, welche mit dem Vor- und Rücklauf der
Heizkreise verbunden werden müssen. Hierdurch kann der THB
die Temperaturen von Vor- und Rücklauf erfassen, um eine
korrekte Temperaturdifferenz (ΔT) einzustellen und somit einen
hydraulischen Abgleich herzustellen.
iTG Dresden hat die Gleichwertigkeit des Salus THB Stellantrieb
mit dem hydraulischen Abgleich bestätigt. In Zusammenarbeit
mit der iTG Dresden wurde der SALUS THB Stellantrieb

getestet und verbessert. Es kann festgestellt werden,
dass mit der Installation eines Salus THB-Systems in einer
bestehenden Fußbodenheizung ein Effekt eintritt, der mit
einem konventionellen hydraulischen Abgleich, entsprechend
Verfahren A vergleichbar ist.

Montage

MAX FLOW
Montieren sie den THB auf das Ventil im Rücklauf. Stellen Sie
sicher dass der THB fest auf dem Ventil sitzt. Der THB ist im
Auslieferzustand stromlos offen, um eine einfache Montage zu
gewährleisten.

Befestigen
Temperaturfühler an Vor- und Rücklauf.
Stellen Sie sicher dass diese nach vorne
zeigen und mindestens 10cm unterhalb
des Verteilerbalkens angebracht sind.
Verbinden Sie nun die Stromversorgung des THBs.

Bitte beachten Sie das der THB23030 230V benötigt
und der THB2430 24V Stromversorgung (AC, 50Hz)
benötigen.
Stellen Sie die

Durchflussmengenregler
(Topmeter) auf maximalen
Durchfluss.
Der THB ist nun bereit sich zu kalibrieren, dies ist
notwendig, damit dieser sich dem jeweiligen Ventil anpasst, um
einen optimalen Abgleich zu erzielen. Dieser Vorgang kann bis
zu 15 Minuten dauern.
Sobald der THB mit einem Regler verbunden ist, stellen

Sie diesen auf die maximale Temperatur, hierdurch wird
der THB mit Strom versorgt. Die LED wird Zwei Minuten
lang schnell blinken.
Hinweis: Es ist wichtig, dass während der Kalibrierung
des THBs, die Temperatur des Vorlaufs konstant bleibt. Stellen Sie
bitte sicher, dass während des Vorgangs die Vorlauftemperatur
auf Maximum bzw. mindestens auf 35°C eingestellt ist.
Nach der Kalibrierung wird der hydraulische Abgleich

vorgenommen.
THB arbeitet
Neukalibrierung (nur notwendig wenn
gewechselt oder ausgetauscht wird)
Sollten Sie eine Neukalibrierung in Gang setzen wollen, so gehen Sie
bitte folgendermaßen vor:
- Stellen Sie sicher dass der THB stromlos ist.
- bestromen Sie den THB für mind. 20 Sekunden.
- Machen Sie den THB innerhalb einer Minute stromlos
Sobald die LED erloschen ist, wird sich der THB beim nächsten Start
neu kalibrieren.
