MONTAGE:
Gewindesensoren werden mit zwei Muttern
geliefert. Die max. Anzugsdrehmomente laut
Tabelle sind zu beachten. Beim Einschrauben in
Gewindeblöcke sind die max. Einschraublängen
zu beachten (gem. DIN 13). Für Sensoren ohne
Außengewinde stehen im Zubehörprogramm geeignete Klemmschellen zur Verfügung.

EINSTELLUNG DER SCHALTFUNKTION (SCHLIEßER
ODER ÖFFNER):
• Schaltfunktion Schließer bei Auslieferung (Brücke im
Klemmraum des Steckverbinders ist geschlossen).
• Durch Trennen der Brücke schaltet der Sensor als
Öffner.
EINSTELLUNG DER EMPFINDLICHKEIT - POTEN-
TIOMETER (25 GANG)
Bei einstellbaren Sensoren befindet sich das Potentiometer unter einer Abdeckung (Ø ≥ 30 mm) oder
einer Dichtschraube.
KAS nichtbündig einbaubar für Niveaukontrolle:
• Aktive Fläche (= gewindefreie Zone oder 25 mm) ganz in das abzutastende Produkt eintauchen.
• Durch Rechtsdrehen des Potentiometers Empfindlichkeit erhöhen bis der Schaltpunkt erreicht wird
(LED an bei NO, LED aus bei NC)
• Danach das Potentiometer noch weitere 90° nach rechts drehen (= sicheres Schalten).
• Schaltet der Sensor bei Eintauchen bereits um, Potentiometer nach links drehen bis zum Um-
schaltpunkt. Danach wieder nach rechts, wie oben beschrieben.
KAS bündig einbaubar für Niveau-/Positions-/Objekterkennung:
• Sensor an der gewünschten Position montieren. Bei Füllstandskontrolle durch Plastik- oder
Glaswand bzw. Bypass direkt an die Behälterwand fixieren (Dicke der Behälterwand max. 4 mm).
• Abzutastendes Objekt oder Füllstand befindet sich vor der aktiven Fläche des Sensors.
• Durch Rechtsdrehen des Potentiometers Empfindlichkeit erhöhen, bis der Schaltpunkt erreicht wird
(LED an bei NO, LED aus bei NC)
• Danach das Potentiometer noch weitere 90° nach rechts drehen (= sicheres Schalten).
• Schaltet der Sensor bei Eintauchen bereits um, Potentiometer nach links drehen bis zum Um-
schaltpunkt. Danach wieder nach rechts, wie oben beschrieben.

• Wählen Sie die gewünschte Ausgangsfunktion. Der
Schiebeschalter für die Einstellung (NO) oder (NC)
befindet sich unter dem Veschlussstopfen.
• Bei Auslieferung ist Schaltfunktion Schließer
(NO) eingestellt.

ADJUSTMENT OF THE SWITCHING FUNCTION
(NORMALLY CLOSED (NC) OR NORMALLY OPEN
(NO):
• Factory set is normally open (NO) (closed wire
bridge in the connectors clamp terminal).
• By cutting the wire bridge the switching function is
normally closed (NC).
SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT - POTENTIOMETER
(25 turns)
For adjustable sensors the potentiometer is under a plastic tab or sealing screw (Ø ≥ 30 mm) .
Adjustment:
KAS non-flush mountable for level control:
• Immerse the active area (= thread-free zone or 25 mm) into the product to be detected.
• Turn the potentiometer to the right until the switching point is achieved (LED on for NO, LED off for
NC).
• Then turn the potentiometer a further 90° to the right (reliable switching).
• If the sensor switches immediately when immersing the sensor then turn the potentiometer to the
left to the switchpoint and then to the right again as described above.
KAS flush mountable for level, position or object detection:
• Mount the sensor at the desired position. With level control through plastic or glass walls or with
bypass measurement fasten the sensor direct onto the wall (thickness of the container wall max.
4 mm)
• The object or material to be detected should be in front of the active surface of the sensor.
• Turn the potentiometer to the right until the switching point is achieved (LED on for NO, LED off for
NC).
• Then turn the potentiometer a further 90° to the right (reliable switching).
• If the sensor switches immediately when immersing the sensor then turn the potentiometer to the
left to the switch point and then to the right again as described above.
