For installation and filling purposes, the
capillary can be isolated via the stem (part
1) using a 4 mm Allen key. This way, the
function of the upper diaphragm unit is
suspended. Hand tighten the connec tion

6.3. Particularities for installation in the supply pipe
(only possible for DN 32 - DN 40)
To ensure the regulator functions in the supply pipe, the
capillaries have to be interchanged.

turn using a 22 mm spanner until the re-
quired position has been reached. Once
installa tion is complete, turn stem (part 1)
until stop using a 4 mm Allen key.

7. Operation
7.1. Setting the nominal value:
The nominal value is infinitely adjustable and is set by tur-
ning the handwheel to the required value.
7.2. Locking and lead sealing:
The set nominal value can be secured with the help of the
locking pin with sealing wire (accessory: item no. 1062092).
7.3. Draining and filling of the installation:
The installation can be drained and filled using the fill and
drain tool (accessory: item no. 1061791).
To do so, a hose may be connected to the tool (G
nection thread).
7.4. Function of the manual isolation:
To carry out manual isolation, the handwheel is turned
clockwise until stop (scale will display closed position).
The connection pipe of the upper diaphragm chamber
must be connected to the supply pipe.
If the regulator is to be reopened after servicing, turn the
handwheel anticlockwise to the nominal value. An efficient
regulation is only possible in this position.
7.5. Replacement of the bonnet DN 15-25:
1. Depressurize installation (isolation in front of the regula-
tor and behind it).
2. Isolate the capillary at the valve in the supply pipe (see
illustr. 6.1).
3. Unscrew capillary of the regulator bonnet.
4. Unscrew bonnet using a 32 mm spanner.
5. Pull out bonnet until stop and unscrew it by turning it
anticlockwise.
6. Mount new bonnet. Please ensure correct positioning of
the ring gasket.
7. Re-connect capillary, bleed installation and check for
leaks (procedure see „Installation").
7.6. Replacement of the bonnet DN 32-40:
1. Depressurize installation (isolation in front of the regula-
tor and behind it).
2. Isolate the capillary at the valve in the supply pipe and at
the bonnet of the "Hycocon DTZ" (see illustr. 6.1).
3. Unscrew capillaries at the upper and lower chamber of
the regulator bonnet.
4. Unscrew bonnet using a 32 mm spanner.
5. Mount new bonnet. Please ensure correct positioning of
the ring gasket.
6. Re-connect capillaries, bleed installation and check for
leaks (procedure see „Installation").
7.7 Replacement of the bonnet DN 50:
1. Depressurize system (isolate in front of and behind the
regulator).
2. Isolate the capillary at the flow valve (see illustr. 6.1).
3. Unscrew the capillary of the regulator bonnet.
4. Unscrew the bonnet using a 34 mm spanner.
5. Fit new bonnet. Please ensure correct positioning of the
ring gasket.
6. Re-connect capillary, bleed and carry out leakage test
(procedure see "Installation").
