The module extension allows one or more VS or individual
valves to be controlled via a bus system. It is thus possible,
for example, to control three different VS using one bus
coupler and two module extensions. The module
extensions serve here to transmit the signals to the
connected VS or individual valves (D-SUB and M8 modules)
or as switching signal generators (relay module).
A maximum of 3 module extensions can be connected to
a bus coupler.
There are essentially two different installation situations
for the module extensions:

Module extension installed with bus coupler and VS
W
Module extension installed with bus coupler and SAS
end plate
A detailed description of the module extensions can be
found in the chapter "Device components" from page 63.
The following general overview gives a summary of the
module extensions available and the installation variants
with VS and without VS (Stand-Alone system).
The VS and bus couplers are each described in dedicated
operating instructions.
