AMCU-001RP Check Valve Kit
FOR AM-1 AND AMX1 MIXING VALVES
APPLICATION
The AMCU-001RP kit contains replacement check valves for
use in AM-1 and AMX1 thermostatic mixing valves. The check
valves in this kit are intended only to replace lost or damaged
check valves in the original AM-1 or AMX mixing valve.
This kit includes two check valves:
• AMCU100 (for AM-1 Series mixing valves manufactured
before August 1, 2010, and ALL AMX1 Series mixing
valves)
• AMCU200 (for AM-1 Series mixing valves manufactured
after August 1, 2010)
These two check valves are easy to distinguish from one
another: the AMCU100 has one O-ring around its outside
circumference and the AMCU200 has two O-rings.
AM-1 Series Valves
For AM-1 Series valves, pay close attention to the check valve
that you are replacing. If it has one O-ring (and/or the valve
manufacturing date code is August 1, 2010 or earlier), replace
it with the AMCU100 check valve. If the check valve being
replacing has two O-rings (and/or its manufacturing date code
is later than August 1, 2010), replace it with the AMCU200
check valve.
AMX1 Series Valves
Use only the AMCU100 check valve to replace a lost or
damaged check valve in AMX1 Series mixing valves; Do not
use the AMCU200 check valve included in this kit.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Manufacturing Date Code
(AM-1 Valves Only)
The date code is a 4-digit number on a small sticker attached
to the AM-1 Series valve body. It is in the format "YYWW"
where the first two digits are the year and the next two digits
are the week of the year that the valve was made. See Fig. 2
for the location of the AM-1 Series mixing valve manufacturing
date code.
