Reed HS switch
For any other problems, please contact your local reseller
To undertake:
• Clean the magnet's and the armature-plate's surface with a soft slightly oiled rag.
Possible cause
The electromagnetic lock does not have any Vdc power supply
The electromagnetic lock and the armature-plate
do not match perfectly
Low voltage
or bad voltage setting
Voltage setting
of the secondary LED
The Reed switch of the lock
and the armature-plate are not properly aligned
Troubleshooting
Check that the wires are securely connected to the proper terminals.
Check that there is the appropriate power supply and that it works properly.
Check that the electromagnetic lock is properly connected to the circuit.
Check that the armature-plate is flexibly assembled and that the central screw is not excessively tightened.
Make sure that the magnet and the armature-plate are properly aligned to match perfectly.
Check that there is no dirt or rust on the mating areas.
Make sure that the power supply of the lock is correct with the proper voltage.
Make sure that the voltage setting of the lock is correct.
Remove the LEDs installed through the lock in order to remove the surges.
(The lock is equipped with a metal oxide varistor to prevent any EMF).
Check that the lock and the armature-plate are properly installed using the supplied template.
MAINTENANCE ADVICE
Not to be done:
The magnet and the armature-plate are treated against corrosion by a processing of the
metal's surface. Any mechanical aggression on that surface would render the magnet
very sensitive to corrosion.
Consequently:
• Never cut into the magnet's or the armature-plate's surface with a pointed
or cutting tool.
• Never clean the magnet or the armature-plate's surface with an abrasive product.
