INTRODUCTION
The following services are required for CAPXL to fully function

Internet Service

CAPXL MUST be configured with the proper network settings to operate.
NETWORK
Internet service provider:
WIRELESS
Wi-Fi Network Name:
Wi-Fi Password:
WIRED
Automatic IP addressing: DHCP (preferred setting)
OR
Static IP Addressing: (NOTE: Write down the following for future reference: IP, Netmask, Gateway, Primary,
Secondary, Server Port)

Phone Service
A subscription with a SIP provider is required for the CAPXL to make phone calls. Phone.com is the preferred SIP provider
and the only provider LiftMaster certifi es calling performance. Sign up through LiftMaster Cloud after a CAPXL is added to a
Facility. If another SIP provider is being used, the following information will be required.
SIP service provider:
SIP domain:
(example: sip.phone.com)
SIP port (usually 5060):
SIP username:
(example: 12345)
SIP password:
(example: s98hn&@f!idjs)

Setup a LiftMaster Cloud Account

NOTE: If you have an existing MyQ
password.
1. If you do not have a LiftMaster Cloud Account, call LiftMaster Customer Care at 800.323.2276 to
activate a LiftMaster Hosted Cloud Service account.
2. You will get a welcome email from LiftMaster. Accept the invitation and register or login to your
account.
3. Set up the Facility and add residents and credentials (refer to the available Help in LiftMaster
Cloud).
4. Continue with the installation of the CAPXL in this manual.
