6. If the concentration has now fallen under the A1 alarm
threshold:
7. Acknowledge the alarm.
8. If the displays are outside of the above-mentioned ranges:
Check whether the cap is dirty and clean it if necessary
(see Chapter 14 on Page 66).
If necessary, replace the gas inlet filter
(see Chapter 13.2.2 on Page 64).
If necessary, adjust the X-am 5100 (see Instructions for
Use of the X-am 5100).

Carrying out a connection test

The connection test can be used to check the correct
connection to all X-zone devices.
To perform a connection test:
1. Press the
key to open the menu.

2. Use the
key to select
and confirm the

to start the connection test.
A signal via horn and LED
ring is issued three times
on every device connected
wirelessly or via a cable.

The relay contact can also be connected as an option.
The setting can be configured using the Dräger
CC-Vision PC software (see Chapter 11 on Page 60).

Alarm-attenuation ring

WARNING
!
The alarm-attenuation ring must not be used in
explosion-hazard areas!
When switching the X-zone on and off, and when carrying out
the function test, Dräger recommends wearing hearing
protection or using the alarm-attenuation ring (order
no. 83 20 110) as the audible alarm is activated for a brief
period.

Establishing a wireless connection
WARNING

A maximum of 25 X-zone devices may be connected

on a wireless network as otherwise it is not possible to
ensure a reliable connection and alarm forwarding.
CAUTION
!
FCC and IC: This device conforms to the requirements
in accordance with section 15 of the FCC regulations.
The following conditions must be observed for
operation:
The device must not be permitted to generate
harmful interference and
must absorb interference received, even though
this interference could result in operating faults.
Devices to which modifications not explicitly approved
by Dräger have been made are not permitted to be
operated by the user.
The internal/external aerials used with this mobile
transmitter must not be operated in the vicinity of or
together with other aerials or transmitters. Persons
must observe a minimum distance of 20 cm to the
aerials.
This device and the corresponding aerial must not be
permitted to be operated in the vicinity or together with
other aerials or transmitters.

If the devices are in ON mode, they automatically
establish the wireless connection.
