nected and falls into DeepSleep mode until the next charging. A com-
pletely charged battery allows for a permanent operation with 100 %
pedal actuation of >2 ½ days. With only 10 % pedal actuation the oper-
ating time extends to >6 days.
Attention! During the charging procedure the wireless connection is
permanently disconnected.
The maximum equipped variant has got two pedals. Due to safety rea-
sons, each pedal position is detected by a redundant switching system
with two switching contacts. If both switching contacts are actuated si-
multaneously, the receiver detects a valid pedal position. If the pedal is
actuated extremely slow and thus, only one micro switch is partly actu-
ated, the foot switch detects an invalid pedal position. In this case, the
foot switch must be released and then actuated again. Due to safety
reasons the foot switch is equipped with a position sensor that in case
of tilting >45° (tilted position, carrying for the purpose of cleaning etc.)
ignores the switch request and sets the status to »not actuated«. If
transmitter and receiver are disconnected, the foot switch initiates,
when actuated, a new connection attempt (1 x beep). Operational avail-
ability (connection active) is signalled after a maximum of 8 seconds
by 3 x beep.
Notices on variant RF GFS 2 2S / IK2S D VD SW2.4-safe
The foot switch possesses a release button with a safety function. If
the pedal is pressed beyond the pressure point, the switch insert
snaps into place and the machine turns off automatically. It cannot be
turned on again. Pressing the release button releases the machine and
it can be turned on again.
Notices safety wireless receiver RF RxT SW2.4-safe 24VDC
The receiver consists of a wireless module, two microcontrollers for
the evaluation of the signals, as well as the positive-guided relay out-
puts for the further potential-free, safety-related signal evaluation.
Only one foot switch with a maximum of two pedals can be connected.
Relays K1 + K2 are assigned to the left pedal and relays K3 + K4 are
assigned to the right pedal (with foot switches with only one pedal al-
ways relays K1 + K2). Each relay is fault detected. If the wireless re-
ceiver detects a fault, the relay will always be switched into the fail-
safe state.
CANopen diagnostic interface
In addition to the safe signal contacts the receiver is equipped with a
not safe CAN bus diagnostic interface. The connection can be carried
out via the 8-terminal RJ45 socket (assignment to ISO 11898) by a
shielded twisted pair (STP) cable shorter than 3 m. Data and error
codes are transmitted according to the CANopen protocol via this in-
terface.

Relay: In order to increase the data integrity the switching information
of a relay is transmitted in 2 bits each of Byte 0.

Switch validat.: The information of Byte 1 describes the validated
switching state of the foot switch. Left pedal = switch

Coding see relay.
Switch unproc.: The information of Byte 2 describes the current
switching state of the foot switch. Left pedal = switch

Coding see relay.
Timeout:
After the timeout has elapsed, the wireless connection
to the foot switch is disconnected and the foot switch
falls into the DeepSleep mode. (0 = Timeout disabled)
Battery:
The battery voltage of the foot switch is transmmited
