Care

Dirt and deposits can be
removed from the device
by washing it with cold
water combined with a
standard
dishwashing
detergent (does not apply
to cap (1) of holder X-am
5100 (2)). A sponge can
be used for wiping if
necessary.
When cleaning the cap (1)
of holder X-am 5100 (2), only use isopropanol and let it air
dry.
Observe the relevant Instructions for Use when cleaning
the gas measuring devices.
When cleaning the X-am holder, make sure that the seals
are not damaged.
Carefully dry the device using a cloth.
Clean grooves and recesses with compressed air or
brushes.
Ensure that the power contacts in the calibration cradle are
free of residue.
The contact grease "Electrolube CG60" made by H K
Wentworth Ltd., Swadlincote, Great Britain is suitable for
care of the power contacts on the X-am 5x00. 83 24 826).
Apply
sparingly
and
instructions.
The contact block can be replaced if highly contaminated
or damaged. Replace the contact block as per assembly
instruction included with contact block X-zone 5500.

Transportation

When transporting the X-zone 5500 without inserted X-am
5x00, care must be taken that the calibration cradle and in
particular the power contacts are protected from any kind of dirt
and deposits.
CAUTION
!
Possible damage to the electronics!
If the X-zone is transported or stored without installed
contact block, water can pass through the opening into
the device and damage the electronics.
Never transport or store the X-zone without installed
contact block.

Disposal

Dispose of the product in accordance with the applicable
regulations.

15.1 Disposal instructions

This product must not be disposed of as household
waste. This is indicated by the adjacent symbol. You
can return this product to Dräger free of charge. For
information please contact the national marketing
organisations or Dräger.

15.2 Battery disposal

Batteries must not be disposed of as household waste.
This is indicated by the adjacent symbol. Dispose of
batteries at battery collection centres as specified by
the applicable regulations.
