RISK OF KICK-BACK!
Kick-back can lead to fatal cuts.
DANGER OF BURNING!
The chain and guide bar heat up during operation.

Information on the noise emissions as per the Prod-
uct Safety Act (ProdSG) and EC machinery directive:
The noise pressure level at the workplace can ex-
ceed 80 dB.
In this case, noise protection measures are required
for the operator (e.g. wearing hearing protection that
is suitable and intended for this as well as observance
of regular breaks).

m WARNING
Avoid the risks associated with vibration, e.g. the risk
of white finger syndrome (circulatory disorders) by
taking frequent breaks from work where you rub your
palms together, for example.
m WARNING
The actual vibration emission value during use of the
machine may differ from the vibration emission value
(0.26 l)
indicated in the operating manual or by the manufac-
3
turer. This can be caused by the following influencing
(0.21 l)
factors to which attention should be paid both before
3
and during every use:
• Is the machine being properly used.
• Is the nature of the cutting or processing of the ma-
terial correct
• Is the machine in good working order.
• Sharpness of the cutting tool and is the cutting tool
the correct one.
• Are the handles or, if applicable, the optional an-
ti-vibration handles installed and firmly attached to
the body of the machine.
8. Before commissioning
3
• Open the packaging and carefully remove the device.
• Remove the packaging material, as well as the
packaging and transport safety devices (if present).
• Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
• Check the device and accessory parts for transport
damage.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of
the warranty period.
ATTENTION
The device and the packaging are not children's toys!
Do not let children play with plastic bags, films or
small parts! There is a danger of choking or suffo-
cating!
• Remove the quick start guide from the start pull
cord (4).
8.1 Mounting the guide bar and tensioning the
saw chain
m ATTENTION
Always carry out assembly with the engine switched
off.
m WARNING
Danger of injury!
2
Always wear protective gloves when touching the
saw chain (17). Danger of injury due to the sharp cut-
2
ting teeth!
