Operation
3.1
Work area safety
● Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or
dark areas can cause accidents.
● Do not operate the product in explosive areas, for
example in the presence of flammable liquids, gases
or dust. The product can create sparks which can
ignite the dust or fumes.
● Keep children and other persons away during product
operation. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
● Make sure that there are no electrical cables, gas
pipes or air hoses that can cause accidents for
example trip hazard.
3.2 Personal safety
● Stay alert when you operate the product.
● Always use protective equipments applicable for the
job to reduce personal injuries. For example eye
protection, dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat
or hearing protection.
● Prevent accidental operation. Make sure that the
switch is in the off-position before you connect the
product to the power source.
● Remove adjusting key or wrench before you start the
product. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating
part of the product can result in personal injury.
● Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at
all time, to make sure that you have control of the
product in unexpected situations.
● Do not wear loose clothing, gloves or jewellery. Keep
your hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose
clothes, gloves, jewellery or long hair can be caught in
moving parts.
● Obey the safety instructions and be careful even if you
are an experienced user of tools. A careless action
can cause severe injury.
● Hold the product with both hands.
● Keep your fingers away from the trigger or switch
when you carry the product or when you attach an air
hose or an accessory. Lock the trigger or switch safety
if applicable.
● Make sure that the (power/pressure) regulator is in the
OFF position before you connect the product to a
power outlet. The regulator must be set to the OFF
position when the product is not in use. Accidental
starts can cause injury.
● Do not point the air stream or tool at any parts of your
body, to other people or animals.
● Debris and dust ejected at high speed can cause an
injury, wear protective equipments.
● Serious injury or death can occur if you inhale
compressed air. The air stream can contain carbon
monoxide, toxic vapours or solid particles.
3.3 Noise hazards
● Exposure to high noise levels can cause permanent
hearing loss and other problems, for example tinnitus.
It is necessary to estimate these risks and prevent
noise hazards.
● Applicable procedures to reduce noise hazards can
include use of sound and vibration damping materials.
● Obey all instructions and safety regulations on hearing
protection.
● To decrease the noise, obey the instructions for use
and maintenance of the product.
● To decrease the noise, obey the instructions on how to
select, maintain and replace consumables and
inserted tools.
3.4 Vibration
Exposure to vibration can cause damage to the nerves
and blood supply of the hands and arms.
● Stop the operation and seek medical attention if you
get symptoms of vibration injury during the product
operation. Symptoms are for example: discomfort,
pain, throbbing, aching, tingling, numbness, burning
sensations or stiffness.
● Do not use worn sockets or extensions that do not fit
correctly, these can increase vibration level.
● Hold the product with a light but stable grip. The risk
of vibration injury increases with higher grip force.
3.5 Safety instructions for
pneumatic power tool
● Use the correct tool for the job to prevent accidents.
● Do not use the product if it is damaged. Repair the
product before you use it again.
● Disconnect the product from the power source, before
you make adjustments, before you change
accessories, or keep it in storage.
● Keep the product where children do not have access
to it.
